Fine food from the South West!
Whether you just enjoy your food or consider yourself a real gourmet, you’ll find yourself spoilt for choice here in the Lot and Périgord. On the menu are truffles and foie gras, of course, but also succulent Quercy lamb, walnuts, Quercy melons, Cabécou cheese, also known as Rocamadour, and saffron, all ‘hunted’ or produced locally.
Topping the wine list is the excellent but relatively unknown Cahors, called the ‘black wine’ for its deep colour. Other local wines including the Coteaux du Quercy and Pays du Lot appellations are also very good.
